I agree about the food at Lime Rickey's. It bummed me out that such a great location has such bad to mediocre (and overpriced) food. The fries are the WORST. That is one point I disagree with the writer on. A plain, fried potato is a beautiful thing. Why do people want to coat them with spices, and probably chemicals?

To tell the truth, I don't know that we have ever ordered the namesake drink here, though I have tried the Raspberry Lime Rickey, which was drinkable, if a bit too sweet.

Don't drink the lime rickeys. They're undrinkable: completely sour and practically salty. The least thirst-quenching thing around. Like drinking battery acid. I agree with the article; lobster roll was completely underwhelming but the fish in the fish and chips was quite good. Fries were those cheap coated-fried ones. Yech. Onion rings were not bad. Ice cream was fine. It's location is it's only huge plus.

Waiting for August so we can head north, we were hoping to hear about the actual drink Lime Rickey. Is it any good. Should Mr. C stop by?

Just a comment on the "coated to be crispy" fries, they are the cheapest frozen french fries a restaurant operator can buy. I firmly believe this is a corner that should not be cut. I am so happy Five Guys is fairly close to me, (certainly closer to you). They have fresh cut fries which to me are the best. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind regular frozen french fries, it is the coated ones that bum me out.
